Pat Tiede describes herself as an Idaho farm girl raised west of American Falls. She attended school in American Falls and then at Idaho State University. She has a BA in Secondary Education, an, MA in Athletic Administration, and a Principal Certificate from ISU.
She was employed at Snake River School District for 25 years as a teacher and coach. Her last 10 years were at Pocatello School District as a VP at Highland High School and Franklin Middle School.
After retiring in 2015, Pat worked for Silverback and Milepost Learning Solutions, a program built by teachers for teachers to monitor student progress. She was a trainer and traveled to schools throughout the state training staff on the program.
Since fully retiring in 2018, she stays busy with her home, small orchard, and family who keep her occupied with many projects. She travels when the mood hits but really enjoys her home, books, and cooking. The last 2 years she has returned to the farm to drive a truck through the potato and beet harvest.
